Job Introduction
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SeniorData Analyst, or a candidate with experience in using programming languages, tojoin the Internal Audit team of one of the largest Building Societies in theUK. The successful candidate will focus on the delivery of data analyticsassignments within Group Internal Audit (GIA). GIA are the third line ofdefence within the Skipton Building Society (SBS) Group, providing independentinsight, assurance, and opinions to stakeholders within the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
SBS Group Internal Auditportfolio covers the whole Skipton Group of companies within the UK, ChannelIslands and New Zealand. This includes Connells Group which is a fully ownedgroup company of SBS and is the largest Estate Agency in the UK.
As a Senior Data Analyst, youwill be part of the GIA Data Analytics team delivering a number of InternalAudit data analytics assignments. You will also support the development andimprovement of GIA’s data analytics strategy and capabilities throughsupporting the implementation and use of various data analytics tools /techniques. Your role will include the following:
– Work with the Internal Auditteam to identify and plan the data analytics required – Extract, cleanse and analysethe data – Discuss data analytics outputs /insights with the audit team and key business stakeholders – Build automated data analytics solutionsto support GIA continuous audit assurance activity
This role enables you to furtherdevelop your technical skills in Data Analytics and work with a number ofcolleagues and teams across the Skipton Group. You will build trustedrelationships with stakeholders across the business, sharing insights andproviding opinions. There will also be opportunities for you to be involved invarious projects and initiatives across the SBS Group.
The SBS Group Head Office isbased in Skipton and Connells Group currently have Head Offices in LeightonBuzzard and Milton Keynes. Connells Group operations currently extend acrossthe UK.
We’ve adapted really well to homeworking during the current pandemic. There would not be a requirement for youto be based at one of our Head Offices full time. We are also happy to considerany flexible working requests you may have. Due to the nature of the role workaway from home will be required, this may be up to 25% of your time.
