The Child & Family Counseling Center seeks Clinicians to work out of their Roslindale site.

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinician will provide case management services; act as a liaison with collateral agencies and programs; establish and maintain relationship services that support children’s and family’s growth. Act as an advocate for families, teach parents to advocate for themselves and their children. Help families develop the skills needed to navigate the social service system. Utilize treatment modalities that are consistent with program goals and that best fit with clients’ age and treatment needs, including play/expressive therapy, group therapy and family therapy.

The Clinical Coordinator will supervise and evaluate Master’s level, licensed, and Bachelor’s level clinicians as well as student interns while also providing individual and group supervision and provide on-going guidance and training to clinical staff.

How You’ll Be Making A Difference

  • Coordinate in-service trainings.  Assist in the hiring, performance management and evaluation process of clinical staff.
  • Oversee the intake and discharge process and ensure all appropriate paperwork and all data entry is completed and delivered in a timely, efficient manner. Maintain program(s) census and ensure program(s) is following relevant agency guidelines.
  • Assign cases to staff and monitor the caseload level.
  • Oversee the services and treatment plans of the clients and their families to ensure they are high quality and are consistent with the goals of the Program. Ensure services are coordinated and integrated. Regularly evaluate services and implement plans, with measurable outcomes, for continual improvement.
  • Collaborate externally with referral sources to ensure a steady flow of eligible clients to program(s).
  • Maintain the utilization review process.  Ensure quality assurance standards are met with regard to treatment planning, record keeping and documentation.  Monitor the treatment of all clients.
  • Participate in completing all assessments, surveys and relevant feedback for Outcomes team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences, IEP meetings and administrative team meetings.  Serve on agency committees as needed such as clinical forum group.
  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention as needed.
  • Provide program leadership in the absence of the program director.
  • May be required to manage third-party billing and insurance issues.
  • Establish, review, and implement program(s) policies and procedures. In consultation with Program Director, continuously consider new processes and initiatives to improve and/or expand services as appropriate.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in relation to the current treatment plans.
  • Complete follow along services as needed.
  • Promote a positive work environment.
  • Provide rotating on call coverage.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work, mental health or related discipline plus independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) and 2+ years clinical leadership experience required.
    5 years program specific clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of children with complex psychiatric illnesses.
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications.
