SEVIS fee is an acronym for Student Exchange and Visitor Information System. This system is used to manage application processes and data for non-immigrants on F-1 and J-1 visas in the United States. Prior to obtaining an F-1 or J-1 visa and entering the country, you will be required to pay a one-time fee. SEVIS fees are in addition to visa fees charged at U.S. consulates.
The US State Department requires Students or exchange visitors coming into the United States to pay this fee before visiting the consulates in their country so as to enable them to get a student or exchange visa. To learn more about SEVIS fee costs, Click here
